Driving a Toyota Supra, either he's a judge, competitor, official, idk, but he's still around, getting sideways. Look up the MSC website on Google, and you should get the option to translate the site. Somewhere on the site is an interview of Kazama with pictures of him in the Supra. I forgot where on the site, but I read it a little while ago.

As for Ueo vs. Toshi-King, although Ueo can maneuver the AE86 like no other, Toshiking is ownage in terms of speed. Getting on the inside of a 600hp GTO with a car that has under/around 300hp is no small feat. I remember watching the 2006 D1 All-Star round where Ueo and Yoshioka went at it. Yoshioka really could have had that round, but fell victim to understeer. Keiichi and Mana-P couldn't get enough of Yoshioka's speed though, so if he didn't understeer on both runs, he would have taken down Ueo, no questions asked.

Ueo is driving the Behrman S15 in D1SL this year, I dont know why but hey.

A little birdie told me that Orido is entering the next round of the D1GP in a IS350, I cant wait.

Also Id like to know what happened to Kazama too.

How do you know what Imamura decided? And what happened exactly.....Maybe Smoky fired him, maybe he wasn't happy with the car, maybe for other reasons, we don't know....let's not make any assumption....we just don't know.

As far as Kawabata. He bacame famous (or started to get some recognition) after driving for Trust/ Greddy.

www.greddy.com/.../2xg_d1.jpg

Then he switched sponsored and kept the S15.

aycu23.webshots.com/.../2006377640480341167_rs.jpg

Then later on he switched to the SX180.

I don't think weight has anything to do with his decision to switch back to the S13. Yes the chassis is lighter, but it's also older and flexes more. Plus with that amount of power that those cars put down nowadays, I don't think that would be an issue....

Regardless, I like Kawabata because he's low-key, soft spoken. A truly underdog !

Ueo can't even keep up with Yoshioka's speeds - this is why Yoshioka can slaughter all the 600hp cars with his 20v blacktop AE86, with only nitrous.

Besides, last time I saw Ueo, he was driving an S15. I think he had far more presence and cool points from me when he was driving his 86.

Ueo is THE MAN though, when it comes to his aggressive feints in his AE86... he can flick his 86 around from side to side like no other!!! Very cool style, when he's driving an 86!!!! In the S15 though, I was just kind of like, whatever...

I'm excited to see Imamura to show his skills on a lighter S15 platform. The Z33 and RB26 combo wasn't really working for him cause it was very heavy. Man, I miss Taniguchi and Ueo. Remember their tsuiso in US when NOB crashed? I want to see more of Taniguchi so that he'll prove that switching to an Altezza was the right choice. Where the hell is Ueo? For me, he is one of the best drifters in the world. He is the king of AE86s. No one can even compare his drifting style on an AE86.

For your info actually Kawabata's first drift car is a 180SX. Hence thats why he's competing in a 180SX, maybe as a tribute for his old car or simply because 180SX is THE car that made him become one of the top D1 drivers now. :D

He's a talent behind the wheel, thats for sure.

The older one, and D1 2005 champion car, was sold off, and if you look at this post by the Kultivate Blog, ( kultivate.wordpress.com/.../kazamas-green-s15-has-got-a-new-home ) the car currently resides in Norway.

Imamura's car is indeed Kazama and Ueo's old car, just changed up in terms of color and gone to the GP Sports Evolution kit. If you remember, this car actually debuted in D1 2006 Round 1, Irwindale.

Hey Mike, I'm looking at this, whatever happened to Ueo? Any info to where he's at, what he's doing this season?

Imamura....what's up with that S15? It looks like it was Kazama Yasuyuki's car. From blue, it got sprayed in green, than Boss/ Kazama sold it to Ueo Katsuhiro 2 season ago....then somehow...it turned into red (or it could be a totally different car)...and now it's driven by Yoichi????

Anyone has any insight?

Nice pics Mike as usual......
