Hello Speedhunters! My name is Romas Tamulevicius, I’m from Lithuania, and this is my work in progress - or as I like to call it – my money pit! :D Everything started with just an idea floating in my head that I needed to build a drift car for myself. Just for fun on the weekends and to have a car that could take a beating. As I’m

The owner of the Spirant JZX100 also owns a AE86 and he decided to spice things up a bit by asking a friend to pinstripe the car. I thought it looked pretty cool... Maybe he's even going to start new trend. You can see some more photo's of the pinstriping and some other cool stuff on the owners blog . -Jeroen Willemsen

This project began to take shape back in 2005 when Pedro Carvalho, who always had a soft spot for the old Corolla TwinCam, bought an old red hachiroku. The car was now on its 7th owner... ...It was looking tired and had been poorly maintained with some evidence of a front collision. He didn’t drive the car a lot, in fact disassembly began the

I came across lollerfest of a gem a while back on Banpei's twitter page . For those of you that are missing some of that on-track sideways action during the winter months, this would be a fantastic and entertaining way of practicing during the off season! -Linhbergh Banpei.net

I thought I'd follow up yesterday's drag AE86 spotlight with a couple clips of the cars in action. Up above we have Isidoro's 8.78 second pass. And here a clip of Mike's 8.81 pass. These cars have reminded me just how damn cool drag racing can be... -Mike Garrett Videos from Boostiao.com

We've featured A LOT of different AE86's on Speedhunters. Way more than I can count. The vast majority of these have been drift or circuit cars, but here we have a pair of Truenos built for one thing, and one thing only - ripping down the quarter mile as quickly as possible. With a lightweight, rear-drive chassis the AE86 makes a fine drag machine

This past August, I was invited to be a guest judge at a local drift Drift Mania West event, held at Western Speedway in Victoria BC, Canada. As you can expect at typical North American grass roots drift event, the majority of the cars competing were S chassis of various types. But one drifter chose to break the mold with his choice of car and went

When I met Darren for his headshots for the DMac retrospective , he had only just put the finishing touches to the latest incarnation of the MCNSport AE86. It's been several months since I last saw the car tucked away at the MCNSport shop; before that it was at an AE86 trackday at Mondello Park. I'd heard a few rumours circulating around for
