After four hours of intense racing around Laguna Seca, the 2009 American LeMans season is in the books. I'm once again exhausted from a day of shooting and lugging my gear up and down the mountainous terrain, but I wanted to quickly post some of the day's results before I pass out here... The GT2 class winner was the #45 Flying Lizard Porsche
Gil de Ferran, 2000, 2001 Champ Car champion and 2003 Indy 500 winner, enters his final race as a driver this weekend at Laguna Seca, the finale to the 2009 ALMS championship. There are a number of celebrations to mark his retirement, the most prominent being the de Ferran Motorsport Acura LMP1 car carrying a cool Chaparral inspired livery. Jim Hall
Workload has resulted in a lack of ALMS updates from me for most of the season, but it is now time to bring you up to date, in preparation for 'Petit Le Mans' later this month. At the front, the series suffered from the withdrawal from Audi and their R15 TDi after Sebring 12hours. The economic climate also resulted in Audi pulling out of the
A great qualifying session saw Scott Dixon in the de Ferran Motorsports Acura ARX-02a grab pole from Audi and Peugeot earlier today. At the sharp end there will be

The test took place earlier this week, and Marshall Pruett has kindly allowed us to show some of his images, showcasing some of the new machines. Rahal Letterman brought their
The 2009 American Le Mans Series began earlier today, with its annual Winter test today at Sebring. A number of new machines made their debut including the stunning new Acura LMP1 car, with some very interesting aerodynamics and form. The new Rahal-Lettermann run BMW M3 E92 Coupe also made its first 2009 appearance. More images over at SpeedTV.com's
The fifth round of the 2008 American Le Mans Series took place at Lime Rock last weekend. The circuit has a long history, dating back to the 50's, but this year the track had been resurfaced and re-profiled.
