Well, the streets of the Long Beach waterfront have ceased to be a racing circuit and are now to back to being just.....streets. It's been a great couple of weeks in the LBC, and I want to wrap up my Grand Prix of Long Beach of coverage with some final photos and observations from both on and off the track. I wasn't at the track to see the World

Now to continue Grand Prix of Long Beach coverage with some race action from the American LeMans series. The last time I'd shot ALMS was at Laguna Seca last year, so I'd had an itch for some sports car action for a while. What better place to take in some American Le Mans than on the streets of Long Beach? Here the #90 M3 takes turn one during

Another weekend, and another big event on the streets of Long Beach. There's really nothing on earth like a street course, and for the 36th straight year the streets of Long Beach were transformed into one of the world's most famous race tracks. While the Indy Car series might be the biggest draw of the Grand Prix weekend, it wasn't the

I'm back home in LA now after a long road trip, watching dark rain clouds fill the sky. Rain in Southern California? Does such a thing exist? Anyways, we have a busy week ahead of us as we gear up for the Formula D finale in Irwindale, but before that we have more action from the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca. If you had the chance

After four hours of intense racing around Laguna Seca, the 2009 American LeMans season is in the books. I'm once again exhausted from a day of shooting and lugging my gear up and down the mountainous terrain, but I wanted to quickly post some of the day's results before I pass out here... The GT2 class winner was the #45 Flying Lizard Porsche

Just got back to to the hotel here in Monterey after spending the day at the final round of the 2009 American LeMans Series at Laguna Seca. My body is massively sore from hiking around Laguna Seca's scenic hills today, but before I collapse I wanted to post a few quick photos and highlights from the day's practice and qualifying sessions. At

Gil de Ferran, 2000, 2001 Champ Car champion and 2003 Indy 500 winner, enters his final race as a driver this weekend at Laguna Seca, the finale to the 2009 ALMS championship. There are a number of celebrations to mark his retirement, the most prominent being the de Ferran Motorsport Acura LMP1 car carrying a cool Chaparral inspired livery. Jim Hall

The green and blue Falken Tire livery may have become synonymous with drift cars in recent times, but for years Falken has also been active in "traditional" auto racing around the world. I'm sure you can recall the Falken Skyline GT-R endurance racer or perhaps the Ford GT that was campaigned in the American Le Mans Series last year. For

I spent a good portion of Saturday tooling around the Long Beach GP with Mike Garrett... it was great to catch up with him, but also not so good for Speedhunting as we ended up photographing very similar elements that day. I just had to give him a call to make sure we write about different things!... Anyway here goes..... It seemed like someone would

After three full days at the track (followed by a much needed day of recuperation), it's time to start looking back at the action-packed weekend at the Long Beach Grand Prix. As I mentioned earlier, this was my first time shooting the LBGP and quite a memorable experience. If you've never had a chance to to go, I highly recommend planning a
