Last month during the Streetpower event at Zandvoort, a few cars stood out to me and because this is Motorsport month I waited to feature them until now. One of the cars that got major attention during the event was this E36 built by DBM Engineering in Holland. At its first outing on Zandvoort the BMW didn't disappoint with a second place finish

Let's start with part two of my coverage of the Streetpower event at Zandvoort. I couldn't resist starting with the Bonder E36 by DBM Engineering. It certainly is one of the most extreme BMW's I have seen in a while. It even managed to set the second fastest time of the day with 1:50.063. Here's another car built and maintained by the

When living so close to ‘The Ring' you sometimes feel spoiled as the high performance cars you'll encounter at the track become normal. For example, Porsche 911 GT3s are nothing special to see when Speedhunting at the Nordeschliefe. So you start searching for cars that are less obvious to satisfy your car craving. On my last visit I spotted

It seems like the current November "Slammed Month" theme has divided the Speedhunters audience up into two polarized camps. Some of you hold fast to the premise: Form Follows Function and that all upgrades and alterations to a car should be in the pursuit of handing and speed... or at least gives the appearance of this. Others prefer to weigh

As Speedhunters' BMW month finishes up we have one more Stanceworks BMW to showcase, and one look at the car will tell you why we saved it for last. This E36 M3 is owned by Stanceworks member Sean Williams of San Jose, California. Despite the ridiculously low stance, Sean uses the M3 as his daily driver. To get the slammed look ("pretty much

We still have a couple Stanceworks car to showcase before BMW month is over, with one of them being this E21 320i owned by Nic Foster of Tuscon AZ. One thing I've noticed about the Stanceworks crew is that these guys come from all over the United States instead of just one region. It's always nice to see long distance camaraderie in the car

Over the past few weeks we've been in touch with Mike Burroughs of Stanceworks.com. If you'll remember, he's the one that made the cross country road trip from Tennesee to California in his rat style E28 last month. Mike has been nice enough to supply us with photos of some the Stanceworks BMW's, including the '96 328i sedan you

The long history of BMW is filled with iconic models, but none of them are as influential as the 3-series. For over 30-years the 3-series has been a favorite of everyone from executives to weekend racers to housewives, and has long stood atop the sport sedan market on all corners of the globe. As part of our special BMW features this month, a look back

I sit in an area of the huge EA Canada complex in Burnaby, B.C. Canada, right next to the Need for Speed marketing team. For the past two days they've been buzzing with all the great reviews that are coming in for SHIFT . It's no surprise to me, though... I mean just look at that image!... It looks completely real!... and the racing experience
