When the time came to choose the car I would be driving around Germany during our Speedhunting trip to Munich I immediately went for the more powerful M5. I knew I had chosen the best car, 500 HP and a pair of paddles to machine-gun through the 7-gears of the DSG gearbox. But Rod had a smug look on his face after our first stint in our cars across a

Our Speedhunting trip to Munich couldn't have been any better. Sure we had a tight schedule during our time there, visiting places like BMW's Welt and Museum not to mention the BMW Group Classic collection. But what made it extra special for me was driving the two cars BMW had lent us, kind of like a pair of cherries on top of a nice creamy

When at Imola the other week I spotted a couple of interesting looking factory modified BMW's sitting in the paddock. First up the 123d here is fitted with the full BMW Performance package, which adds some tantalizing parts like the sportier front bumper, side skirts with air intake... ...and a nice carbon lip spoiler. Sitting next to it was this

One of the main reasons behind our trip to Munich was to immerse ourselves in all things BMW, and after a day spent wondering the vast spaces of the BMW Welt pavilion it was time to head across the street... ...and check out the recently revamped BMW museum, right under the 101 m tall HQ towers. To pay homage to one of their most iconic models BMW decided

We certainly didn't waste any time during our latest Speedhunting trip to Munich. It all started in the wee hours of the AM on Monday morning when we drove from our Hotel in Imola 200 km or so up to Venice to catch our early flight to Munich. The first stop, after picking up two press cars (more on this later), was to be the mighty BMW Welt, an

Ok hold on to your horses, this isn't your regular SUV, so please bare with me, we haven't lost the plot here on Speedhunters! This BMW X5 is a rather special machine that I had seen many years ago in a youtube video... ...special because it packs a de-restricted version of the Le Mans V12 out of the LMR race car! That means 700 HP and some

I don't think I have ever witnessed a race start like the one I had the chance to see with my own eyes this past Sunday at Imola. With all the cars on the grid being so evenly matched, the race for the win becomes something drivers really have to work hard for, right from the instant when the lights turn green. Rod and I headed to the Tosa corner

Going through my library of older shoots I came across this car that I shot back in 2006. Built by Il Salotto of Tokyo it was one of only a few import cars that have ever competed in the D1 Grand Prix championship. It all began in 2005 when Il Salotto turbocharged an M3 and tired their luck out in D1, but the car was never really competitive enough

I was very happy to see how well the Ericsson M3 went down with your guys. I knew it would be appreciated as it's by far one of the best modified E92s of all times. A lot of you asked for some desktops from the pictures I posted so let's first start with this. Enjoy. Desktops -Dino Dalle Carbonare

I think this opening shot of Yvan Muller's Seat Leon bouncing high above the apex of the infield chicane at Imola, pretty much sums up what WTCC is all about. It's all very hectic, with virtually the shortest time windows to get things done so the drivers really have no time to waste. The two half hour practices on Saturday were followed by
