The SUPER GT season-opener at Suzuka last weekend was an incredibly exciting start to the season, though one of heavy loss to the Honda Racing team. Having started out so promisingly with pole position on the car's debut, the #18 HSV-010 GT was in the wars just a handful of laps into the 300-km event. Ironically, pole-sitter Takashi Kogure, trying

Let's start with part two of my coverage of the Streetpower event at Zandvoort. I couldn't resist starting with the Bonder E36 by DBM Engineering. It certainly is one of the most extreme BMW's I have seen in a while. It even managed to set the second fastest time of the day with 1:50.063. Here's another car built and maintained by the

It will be another year until we can see these legendary Nissan race machines in action again, so for this final post from the Nismo Festival I have selected some of my favorite action shots... ...starting with another Mt-Fuji shot. The snowcapped volcano is an awe-inspiring sight, what has always symbolized Japan, and to see a JGTC GT-R drive in front

As you have been seeing with all of our Sebring coverage over the past few days, this past weekend was a big one for motorsport. While the ALMS season launched stateside, across the pacific the 2009 Super GT season also kicked off with a rain-soaked race at Okayama International Circuit. The big story last year in Super GT was of course the dominance

Now for some more action from the HKS Premium Day at Fuji Speedway. The challenge between the HKS CT230R and the GT300 race ars may have been for bragging rights only, but HKS took the battle quite seriously. As you can see in this opening shot, the car was under attention from the HKS mechanics throughout the day. Such a shame that the weather cut

There were a few notable absences at Tokyo Auto Salon this year, and one of the big names without a booth at the show was HKS. That's not a big deal though, because instead of joining in on the chaos at Auto Salon, HKS waited a couple weeks and took over Fuji Speedway for the second "HKS Premium Day at FSW". As you'll see this event

The eventful 2008 season of Super GT is now in the books. The final race of the year was held yesterday at Fuji Speedway under and despite the not-so unusual cloudy weather, things were looking bright for the Nissan GT-R teams that were aiming to finish off their season of dominance by taking the GT500 drivers championship. From the photos, it looks

The end of the 2008 Super GT season is almost here, and following this past Sunday's race at Autopolis, there is just one event left on the schedule. Fans and race teams were greeted with sunny and pleasant fall weather at the track which is located on Japan's southern main island of Kyushu and is one of the nicest race tracks in the country

Just a few weeks after the big Suzuka race that Rod and Antonio were at, the Super GT Series was in action again this past weekend at Twin Ring Motegi in Tochigi Prefecture a couple hours north of Tokyo. Teams and fans were greeted with clear, dry weather and it would turn out to be a very exciting race, particularly in the GT300 class where there was

This past weekend was a busy one for time attack action around the world. In addition to the inaugural Australian Super Lap event, we also saw the fourth round of the UK Time Attack series at Oulton Park. All accounts say that this round was the most challenging of the Time Attack season so far and the weather should be to blame for that one. In typically
