March 18 turned out to be a pivotal day for the famous McLaren team. The day was marked for the launch of their new supercar, the McLaren MP4-12C – announced as a concept last year and now about to be unveiled for the first time in public at the architecturally stunning McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. But amazing as the car is in

One look at the picture above and you can instantly imagine the rumbling of all that Detroit metal. Each of the three cars give you a completely different sort badassery. The green Plymouth Valiant is classically sophisticated, the yellow Dodge Challenger is a rugged badass, and the Viper is just pure, raw, gut wrenching power. The guys at Hotchkis

Today we got word of a new motorsport event that will go down this summer near Virginia City, Nevada. The Spectre 341 Challenge is a hillclimb event being put on Spectre Performance in the spirit of the old Virginia City Hillclimb. Let's start with part two of my coverage of the Streetpower event at Zandvoort. I couldn't resist starting with the Bonder E36 by DBM Engineering. It certainly is one of the most extreme BMW's I have seen in a while. It even managed to set the second fastest time of the day with 1:50.063. Here's another car built and maintained by the

Here's some coverage from my first event of the year -the season opener in Holland. Streetpower by Automaxx is an event with a mix of activities at Zandvoort. It ranges from Gymkhana to Time Attack and off course show and shine on the paddock. I spent most of the day shooting the Time Attack cars and I was surprised to see how serious some of these

As we gear up for the onslaught of the 2010 season, everyone seems to be getting busy. Yesterday I tagged along with Chris Rado and the World Racing team to a dyno session for their time attack Scion, and in just a bit I'll be heading out to the Inland Empire to get the latest on the Rockstar Drift tC. Before that though, I need to finish up my

Moving right along, here's the second part of my trip to Famoso Raceway for the 2010 March Meet. March has always seemed like the unofficial start of the racing season, and taking in this drag race culture was a fantastic way for me to kick off the 2010 season. If you think stance is only about slammed ride height and stretched tires, think again

It's not often that a team opens up their doors to the general public, and certainly not with the open arms that greeted people at the Sumo Power open day down in a surprisingly sunny Rye on the south coast of England. The entire factory was completely accessible and the whole range of JR Motorsport and Sumo Power's activities on display, with

This weekend a huge number of drag racers gathered at Famoso Raceway near Bakersfield to take part in the annual March Meet. The March Meet has long been one of the biggest nostalgia drag gatherings around and this year was no different, even with rain off and on throughout the weekend. With Sunday looking like the day with the smallest chance of the

In the first part of the Omega Oil Tsukuba track day coverage someone made a comment that Tsukuba seems to always be packed with some pretty mean cars. The track's location and proximity to Tokyo makes it the most popular circuit in the Kanto area and is as challenging to drivers of extreme modified cars as it is to those with more humble machines
