Take a moment to glance at this photo a little bit longer than you normally would have. Did you grip that mice a bit tighter? Or, did this photo somehow give you that edge-of-your-seat feeling? This photo holds a sense of absolute tension and drama. However, the drama does not originate from the MOPAR Viper, but instead from the photographers. Notice

Many of us would agree that the dramatic sideways courtship between two cars is one of most beautiful acts that the eye can witness. So, if you take the time to mentally step away from the fast paced nature of a professional drift event, you'll notice that this motorsport is an art form. This ballet-like spectacle touches every sense in your body;

I'm still in a "Long Beach State of Mind" as I prepare for tomorrow morning's trip back down to SoCal for the ALMS race at the Long Beach Grand Prix. Before I do that though, I'd like to finish our look at the competition from last weekend's Formula D Long Beach event. This time we'll start at the Great Eight, and move

Alright then, let's jump straight into the next part of our coverage of the tandem competition at Formula D Long Beach - the Top 16. After a quick lunch break after Top 32 wrapped up, the next part of the event started off with introductions for the 16 remaining drivers who'd be competing against each other in the afternoon. The Top 16 kicked

Things are getting down to the wire as Formula D teams are finishing up their cars and getting in that last bit of testing before the season kicks off in Long Beach less than three weeks from now. As you might remember from the announcement at SEMA last year, Falken Tire is going to be fielding a very strong team for 2009. One of the new cars that will

More from Formula D Irwindale... here's a shot of the crowd in the fully packed grandstands at Irwindale. Just look at how many people are in the stands, not to mention the VIP suites above! The Formula D Finale was a big event! From the grid... Taka Aono prepares to do a burnout before his Top 16 run, as Falken race queen Eri Moriyama holds her

Everybody knows Tanner Foust won the Formula D Series Championship last weekend, so I'm not reporting anything new right now. I just wanted to post up some night time pics from Irwindale this past weekend. As night time rolled in, and everyone began shivering from the cold, Foust was still on fire. He was still running clean and consistent (as always

Digging through my photos from the past weekend at Irwindale Speedway, I thought I'd put together another one of my lifestyle galleries, so Speedhunters readers who didn't get a chance to experience the event in person could get a feeling of what it was like to be there. My good friend Andy Sapp from Atlanta GA seems to love these lifestyle

The Apex'i and Bergenholtz Racing crew are super down for the cause. They're down to get down on the ground and work on their cars wherever they need to (they have to, because FD transmissions break more than Rocksteady on linoleum)... they'll do whatever it takes to make sure the car they're campaigning doesn't break by any fault
