I'm really finding it hard to believe that we're already way past the half point of the 2009 racing season, to me it seems like just a bit ago we were working on our preview stories for the season. Anyways, the Super GT series was in action last weekend during its annual summertime trip to Suzuka Circuit for the Pokka GT Summer Special. Here's

Last weekend the Super GT series was in action again, this time at Sportsland Sugo in Japan's Miyagi Prefecture. Being round five, this race would be the midpoint of the 2009 Super GT season. So far '09 hasn't been the dominant year that '08 was for the GT-R teams, but most people still consider them favorites in the GT500 class. As

What better way to spend Japan's "Golden Week" holiday than by taking in a Super GT race at Fuji Speedway? After just a two week break, the Suer GT series was back in action for its third race of the season and its first visit to Fuji this year. Last time at Suzuka Circuit, the Zent Cerumo SC430 ended the GTR's winning streak in GT500

OK, now we go from the classics of the New Year Meeting back to coverage from the HKS Premium Day at Fuji Speedway, starting with another shot of NOB doing a demo run in the HKS Aristo. This was actually my first time shooting at Fuji's drift course, which I have to stay is quite impressive. It's really just a long stretch of pavement with a

While I was navigating my way through the SEMA Show yesterday, I spent most of the morning yawning from lack of enthusiasm for the cars I was looking at. The first hall I went through had me rolling my eyes pretty frequently - I was certainly disappointed with the lack of style on the cars in the first hall I walked through. So imagine my surprise when

Time for some more coverage from Thursday's HKS Hiper Meeting at Tsukuba Circuit. There was just too much cool stuff to jam into one post. I read through the comments you guys left on the first post and tried to include some more photos of the cars you wanted to see (they happen to be the same ones I was digging). Just look at the first shot with

Today as I was driving out to Tsukuba Circuit, I realized that it has been quite a while since I have shot any traditional "tuning car" race events. I have covered other Tsukuba events recently like the Idlers Games and the JCCA Summer Meeting, but I was looking forward to seeing some fully tuned GT-R's, RX7's, S2000's attacking

It's a beautiful sunny day in Tokyo right now - the rain has finally stopped (for a few hours, according to the weather report) but instead of going out to my favorite places in the city, I'm sitting in this dark cubicle in an internet cafe, because I know you all have been waiting to see my Super GT photos. Hopefully you guys like them - I'm

As some of you might know, we've been on a long and crazy trip across Europe and Japan. Right now, I'm chillin out with a fellow American friend, Andrew, in the Suzuka Circuit media center - he is shooting this event for Import Tuner , so make sure to check the magazine in a future issue of the mag. One thing I noticed while walking around the
