The SUPER GT season-opener at Suzuka last weekend was an incredibly exciting start to the season, though one of heavy loss to the Honda Racing team. Having started out so promisingly with pole position on the car's debut, the #18 HSV-010 GT was in the wars just a handful of laps into the 300-km event. Ironically, pole-sitter Takashi Kogure, trying

Here's another quick update from the Super GT series in Japan. This time SGT was back at Fuji Speedway over the weekend for the seventh round of the 2009 season. A view of the GT500 grid during the opening moments of the race. The Epson NSX would be starting from the pole. Colorful shot of the GT300 grid here. It looks a beautiful September day

Every year in the UK, Japanese car enthusiasts get together for the massive Japanese Auto Extravaganza, better known as JAE. The 2009 edition of JAE was held this weekend at Wicksteed Park in Northhampton. Photographer Rich Sams was kind enough to send us some photos from the event. It has been a while, with a long summer break, but the British Touring Car Championship returned to the track last weekend at Snetterton, in Norfolk. Current Champion Fabrizio Giovanardi and Colin Turkington shared the top spot of the podium during the three race event. Turkington was a little fortunate to take the final race win of the day after original

The British Touring Car Championship visited the North West of England on the weekend, with three rounds at a sunny Oulton Park. Colin Turkington won the first two events of the day in his Team RAC BMW 320Si. Turkington took the lead in the opening race from the line, overtaking the all-Chevrolet front row of Jason Plato and Matt Jackson. Plato followed

Rod pointed out to me that there was a big meeting over at the Eibach headquarters in the USA. After some searching I found a whole bunch of nice pictures from some members on the NWP4LIFE forum. Looking at the pictures I'm really jealous, the pure quality of the builds is something I can only dream of seeing here in Holland. I used to drive a EG

The North American International Auto Show in takes place in Detroit this week. A number of manufactures including Nissan have pulled out, but despite this, there are some cool new production and concept cars. First up, we have the Volkswagen Concept Blue Sport. Although a concept, the mid-engined rear wheel drive roadster looks production ready and

I have been quite busy working on new Speedhunters stories and preparing for my trip to this weekend's Motorsport Japan Festival in Odaiba, but before I move on to that stuff, I wanted to take one last look at last Friday's I Heart Honda!! event at Tsukuba Circuit. Judging by the feedback I have been reading on these posts, it appears that you

Time for some more action from the VTEC-drenched spectacle that was I Heart Honda!! 2008 at Tsukuba Circuit. I figured that this shot of a legendary EK9 Civic Type R undergoing some work in the paddock would be good way to open this post. There are few things that symbolize Honda performance machines more than the Championship White paint and red engine
