I have been following the Battle Evome series for a long time, so it was cool to see that our own Speedhunter in Japan, Dino, was able to catch a glimpse of the series with his latest feature. The cars keep getting better and better so I want to share the three fastest vehicles that raced last Sunday here. I think most of you are familiar with these
Just spotted this FC on Al's Car Stuff blog . It rolls on a set of Work Equips with a very large dish in the rear, just enough to fill those arches. Love the understated look of this particular model. Maybe Carl can get some inspiration from this car, although it hasn't been made as a Time Attack car.
The Panspeed and Revo FDs tend to get the most attention during the many Time Attack events at Tsukuba... But this Screen Powers FD also deserves some love. This car packs quite the punch with almost 450bhp thanks to a HKS T04Z turbo. -Jeroen Willemsen Screen Powers
I never realized how clean a FD would look without a spoiler. It really shows the timeless design of the Mazda FD. -Jeroen Willemsen
Should I even add words? This amazing all carbon Revolution FD has been seen doing some laps at the recent RE-Wars round 4 at Tsukuba. I can't wait for Dino's coverage of the Super Lap Battle at the same circuit. Will this FD take the crown or will some of the other contenders like the Mspeed R34 (my favorite) be faster? -Jeroen Willemsen
After checking the RE-Extreme blog I came across this picture. I have seen this same FD numerous times before on pictures when it was going through its paces on Tsukuba, even Mike has captured this car before. I never realized that it was a street legal car. That in itself makes this car even cooler than it already was. Can you imagine driving a car
After seeing all the gorgeous Miata's that Antonio posted I thought I would be nice to see a bit more FC's. The first FC I wanted to share is this orange one that was previously owned by Daijiro Inada, yes the 'godfather' behind D1GP, the Tokyo Auto Salon and Video Option. He enlisted the help of Top Secret and RE Amemiya to build his
I thought I would continue with the coverage from Tsukuba while Mike is busy covering the Tokyo Auto Salon, nah just kidding. But I did found these pictures al taken at a recent trackday on Tsukuba. Because it is Mazda month I selected all the RX7's that were present to show off the different styles that people use on their car. All the pictures
Uras is the company started by Ken Nomura, the famous D1GP drifter and one my personal favorite drivers. Uras specializes in bodykits for several brands but mainly focusing on Nissan. Did you know that Uras also has a café and bakery? They even have a large RC arena where customers can test their Yokomo cars. Last year at the Tokyo Auto Salon
Just for old time's sake. It's still one of my favorite D1GP cars after all these years. I even have a 1/18 th scale model of this one. -Jeroen Willemsen A'pexi
