The Darling Buds of May have fled, so another 24 hour contest is upon us, but before we turn our attention to Le Mans, let's have a final few thoughts about the epic race held in Germany, the 37th ADAC Zurich 24h-Rennen. Once again Porsche triumphed and it was a fourth consequtive win for Manthey Racing. It was a hat trick of wins for the driver

The Porsches and the Audi were quicker but the honour of "Coolest Car" could only head one way at the Nurburgring, the real attention getter was the pair of Lexus LF-A run by Gazoo Racing. From the unusual and dramatic shape to the scream of the V10 engine they were undoubtedly the stars of the show. There was also an air of mystery about

May has been designated as VW Audi month here on SpeedHunters so as both of these brands had a factory presence at last week's Nurburgring 24 Hours it is appropriate to have a look at what they brung to run. I'm now back home in the UK, after experiencing some pretty tough shooting conditions at the Nurburgring 24Hs. Porsche has done it again! For the next 50 minutes he kept his orange and white rumbler in front of Marc

SpeedHunters has looked at the top ten qualifiers for the race but before the action starts in earnest it is I think appropriate to have a quick snapshot of some of the other cars that will be out on the track this weekend. The weather right now is beautiful, sunshine with a little breeze, almost perfect. Of course this being in the Eifel region, things

Two days of pounding round the Nurburgring in conditions that range from the sublime to the ridiculous have determined the grid for the 2009 Nurburgring 24 Hours that is due to start at four in the afternoon local time, tomorrow Saturday 23rd May. According to my information there will be an impressive 170 cars to start. After all the talk of Audi R8

OK, OK, enough waiting already! I finally got to the Ring this afternoon and after attending to the various admin tasks had a quick run round the paddock. It did not take long to locate the Badass Boyz............Gazoo Racing and their Lexus LF-A........... Cute cartoons there may be on the car but the carbon fiber bodywork and the low profile makes
