Efrain from Boostiao.com just sent me this video clip of the Mobil 1/Boostiao AE86 turning an 8.37 ET at Salinas Raceway in Puerto Rico over the weekend. According toe Efrain, this makes it the fastest street car in the Caribbean. Wow. -Mike Garrett
Just a really neat photo from the always-cool Beeoneonoeoh blog . NZ doing things right yet again. -Mike Garrett
I thought I'd follow up yesterday's drag AE86 spotlight with a couple clips of the cars in action. Up above we have Isidoro's 8.78 second pass. And here a clip of Mike's 8.81 pass. These cars have reminded me just how damn cool drag racing can be... -Mike Garrett Videos from Boostiao.com
We've featured A LOT of different AE86's on Speedhunters. Way more than I can count. The vast majority of these have been drift or circuit cars, but here we have a pair of Truenos built for one thing, and one thing only - ripping down the quarter mile as quickly as possible. With a lightweight, rear-drive chassis the AE86 makes a fine drag machine
For my 86 Day contribution, I originally had this idea to do a post with 86 different photos of AE86's. I still haven't even had a chance to sort through all the pictures I took at the Idlers Games at Tsukuba on Sunday. Unfortunatley for my hardworking little laptop, I managed to come home with nearly 2000 photos from the event. Perhaps I got a bit trigger happy with the camera as I was overwhelmed with awesome cars and great driving? Anyways, lets
When I was living in Japan, Tsukuba Circuit became a bit of a second home for me. It was close by, and featured some of the best car action in the world - paradise for a car crazed dude like myself. Of all the events I've been to at Tsukuba, few have left a bigger impression on me than the Idlers Club races. Idlers is where the internet legend of
