Reader's Month might be over, but we are always looking for cool reader-owned vehicles or guest blogs to post up. Here we have a JDM-spec Mitsubishi FTO GPX that belongs to reader Jacob of Australia. The FTO might not be the most popular platform around, but you have to love the 2.0L V6 that revs all the way up to 8250 RPM. Cool car, Jacob! -Mike
Some of you guys requested some Mitsubishi Starion content this month, so here you go. I'm not exactly sure if you could call the Starion a misfit or a maverick, but it's certainly a rare bird compared to some of the other Japanese sports cars of the time. Seeing these cars will always remind me of a project car that a Mopar magazine a long
Here's a car that fits in with our monthly theme, or a "minor" car as it would be known in Japan - a Mitsubishi Lancer Cedia Wagon. Being a "minor", it has more one-off parts than you can shake a stick at, including the aero parts, coilovers and suspension arms. The wheels are Work Schwert SC4's 18x8 in the front and 18x9
I saw that a few of you guys wanted to see some more Evo Wagon material, so I headed to the treasure chest of car photos that is Minkara and found this shot of a tuned Evo IX Wagon running on the circuit in Japan. I don't think a station wagon has ever looked more evil... -Mike Garrett Minkara
It may not be AWD, but when I found this photo in the Mitsubishi archive I knew I had to post it here. This epic shot of Andrew Cowan landing in his Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR was taken at the 1975 Safari Rally in Africa. Those Evos we are so familiar with wouldn't be here without Mitsubishi's experience doing stuff like this... -Mike Garrett
This car has all the right, to look as crazy is it does. The engine has been bored to 2.2 liters and sports a huge turbo. The exterior has been enhanced with a complete VARIS bodykit. I really wonder what this car is capable of. You can see the buildup of the car on the owners blog here . -Jeroen Willemsen
...but used for levitation! Since this is the start of an awesome AWD themed month, I figure we would start off with something a bit light hearted and fun. To add a bit more fun, view this shot while listening to the, also, iconic "The Thieving Magpie," by classical composer, Gioachino Rossini. It accompanies this shot quite perfectly! Image
Evasive Motorsports have been busy building a demo car for Voltex Japan. The car has been fitted with a front lip spoiler and diffuser, along with a rear carbon wing and hood scoop. The front spoiler works very well with the car and I'm sure it will help in generating downforce. Especially after seeing some of Voltex's earlier creation inside
The Unlimited Works EVO V was spotted in the weekend on Tsukuba during one of the many Time Attack battles. This thing oozes style in every department, the wheel fitment, the body kit and it's white interior are a testament to this. It is capable of 57 second laps around Tsukuba, so it doesn't only look good, it can also back up those looks
Our own Speedhunter Andy Barnes had a bit of a baptism of fire driving at this weekend's Britcar 24H race at Silverstone in this brand new EvoX race car.... watch out for a complete Driver Blog post from him in the next few days.
