In fitting with our celebration of the Nissan S-Chassis, here's a repost of a story I did back in November '08. And now for a look at the history of another one of Nissan's most famous cars, the Silvia and its sister-models. I'm sure when most of you hear "Silvia", you probably picture a tuned S13 or S15 blasting through a
The response to our request for photos of your Nissan S-chassis cars has been an incredible - and the emails are still rolling in. Since it's January 3rd, it's natural that we start out with the S13. Here's the first batch of your S13's, in no particular order. Al Clark - United Kingdom Cody Wellons - Atlanta, GA, USA Eigo Nakasaka
I was just doing my rounds on the blogs I visit daily, one of them is the blog that Jon Sibal runs. He posts about his cars, internet finds and about his work as a illustrator. Today I was greeted by these pictures of the Spirant 180SX that Jon dug up somewhere. This 180 is one of my favorites together with the one that Koguchi build and Antonio featured
For this Auto Salon post, I'll be highlighting some of the Nissan S-chassis cars found at this year's show. You all know that the Silvia and 180 are still Japan's most popular tuning platforms, and every year Tokyo Auto Salon is full of freshly built examples. Throughout this month I'm going to be digging through my archive of old photos and posting up some of my favorite Nissan shots from various events and track days here in Japan. First up, I wanted to look at some the Nissan Silvia and 180SX grip/time attack cars that I have seen at Tsukuba Circuit over the past several months. When it comes to time
There are certain cars that make an lasting impression, and it's no different with this 180SX. I have seen this car on so many automotive forums from around the world, I knew I had to feature it here on Speedhunters. Last weekend, I had a party at my house with lots of friends, not all of them are into cars, and when I showed them these pictures
Maybe some of you guys will recognize this car. It used to be white and it had green wheels. The car was build and campaigned by Dentsport out of Boston. In 2006 and 2007 the car won the GT Live Red Line Time Attack event running in the rear wheel drive unlimited class. Dentsport is trying to do the same this year. The event will be held this weekend
Yoshinori Koguchi AKA "The King of the 180SX" at Irwindale during last year's D1 All Star event. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in action again this weekend in Tokyo! -Mike Garrett
