Time for a little more Nissan goodness from the archive as I post up a few of the track-tuned Skyline GT-R's I've spotted at Tsukuba Circuit over the past year. There is no place where a GT-R is more at home than running around a track like Tsukuba. It is surely one of the best places in Japan to see tuned GT-R's at their best. The car has

It seems these days, when people think of Nissans, they automatically think of S13s, S14s, 350z, and such. However, I just wanted to remind everyone that in the mid to late 1990s, when FF Honda drag racing was the rage, the Nissan Sentra SE-R was one of the most popular Nissans to modify. It was Nissan's answer to the heavy hitting front wheel drive

4-door sedans are favored by drifters all around the world, and they are especially big here in Japan where Toyota's JZX cars are favorites among both pro an grassroots drifters. Nissan's primary contribution to the drift world might be the Silvia and 180SX, but they also offer plenty of turbocharged four door sedans that can be bought on the

Nissan month is November... and as I pack up my gear for tomorrow's shoot at Buttonwillow Raceway's Super Street Superlap Battle, I just can't help but think of Ebisu Circuit, one of my favorite racetracks that I've ever experienced. Anyway, looking back through photos on one of my hard drives, I thought I'd post up a photo that

Throughout this month I'm going to be digging through my archive of old photos and posting up some of my favorite Nissan shots from various events and track days here in Japan. First up, I wanted to look at some the Nissan Silvia and 180SX grip/time attack cars that I have seen at Tsukuba Circuit over the past several months. When it comes to time

The S14 Silvia from the Magician drift team always seems to be popular, so how about a high res desktop wallpaper of it? I shot this photo during the recent MSC event at Nikko Circuit and if you look closely you can see that the Magican decal on the driver's helmet is almost aligned with the decal on the windshield. I thought that was kind of cool

When the R34 Skyline chassis was replaced with the all new V35 chassis near the beginning of the decade, it marked a dramatic change in the Skyline lineage. Gone were the turbocharged inline six engines of the past, and in its place was Nissan's new VQ series V6 engines. Although the newer Skylines have sold fairly well in Japan, they still haven't

For the past half year or so, when it comes to Nissan's performance cars all the talk has been about the R35 GT-R. About a year ago, however, Nismo introduced a car that I still feel has not got the attention it deserves. The car is the Nismo Fairlady Z 380RS and it is quite simply one of the most impressive Z's ever built. While other markets

As we build up towards the big Le Mans weekend, I will be sharing some the few Le Mans race car photos that I have. This famous 641hp Nissan R390 was one of three cars campaigned in the 1997 Le Mans race. For '97 the cars were done in the striking black and red livery seen above, though I prefer the way the R390's looked in white and blue livery
