It will be another year until we can see these legendary Nissan race machines in action again, so for this final post from the Nismo Festival I have selected some of my favorite action shots... ...starting with another Mt-Fuji shot. The snowcapped volcano is an awe-inspiring sight, what has always symbolized Japan, and to see a JGTC GT-R drive in front

You are looking at what the Nismo Festival was all about this year, racecars. Nissan has never forgotten that enthusiasts want to see their favorite production cars on the race track, something that helps build a strong image for the brand. The concoction of GT-R race engines that were unleashed on the circuit throughout the day was a true visual and

For me the Nismo Festival has always marked the end of the year's event calendar and for 2009 things just couldn't have gone any better, starting with the weather which was fantastic for this time of year with blue skies throughout the day. Nismo always manages to keep the event interesting, despite there being pretty much the same cars every

The only thing better than Japanese tuner cars are the names of Japanese tuner shops. Here's the 670hp Wacky Mate BNR32 GT-R from Aichi Prefecture screaming down the front straight at Fuji Speedway during the HKS Premium event earlier this year. Suzuka Circuit is this car's home course, but it looked right at home flying around Fuji's high

It's already well into the afternoon of December 26 here in Japan, but it's still Christmas Day in some parts of the world right? I have uploaded a few new high res desktop wallpapers for you guys, including a request of the 510 and Z rally cars under the backdrop of Mt. Fuji at the Nismo Festival. You'll also find a shot of one of the JGTC

Some more vintage goodness from the Nissan archive here. This shot was taken in the rain at Fuji Speedway during the opening round of the Fuji Grand Championship Series in March, 1972. By this point the GT-R race cars had switched from the four-door PGC10's featured in yesterday's post to the newer and sleeker KPGC10 coupes like this one. This

The eventful 2008 season of Super GT is now in the books. The final race of the year was held yesterday at Fuji Speedway under and despite the not-so unusual cloudy weather, things were looking bright for the Nissan GT-R teams that were aiming to finish off their season of dominance by taking the GT500 drivers championship. From the photos, it looks

The return of the Nissan GT-R to the Super GT Series may be old news, but that doesn't mean that the sight of a Super GT spec GT-R no longer gets one's blood pumping. Courtesy of Nissan's press department, we have a few fantastic shots of the GT-R teams in action during the Fuji Speedway race earlier this month. These particular photos do
