Ok, let's pick up the story of Klaus Ludwig and see what he's been up to from 1984 until present. At the end of Part1 , his fortunes were starting to flat line just a little bit. Klaus had chosen to race for Zakspeed Ford racing team instead of Porsche a few years previously, and it was becoming apparent that this perhaps was not the best long
Around the office at EA, the Speedhunters audience is always referred to as "the hardcore" ... That is, you guys are so much more than casual automotive fans; you eat, sleep and breath this stuff... But among automotive enthusiasts there are the hardcore and then there are the REAL hardcore . People whose automotive knowledge reaches encyclopedic
I've been running this image all week on my Crackberry and thought it would be a good thing to share with the rest of you.... it's a beautiful image don't you think? Respect to John Brooks. :Rod
We'd like to congratulate the four class winners from the 2009 12 hours of Sebring, no doubt one of the most grueling motorsports challenges on the planet. First in the P1-class went to the number 2 Audi driven by the all-star cast of McNish, Kristensen and Capello, in what must be a dream debut for the R15. The lone surviving P2 finisher was the
A lot of the time people can be a bit adverse to change no? We get used to things being a certain way... we find comfort in our inspiration and then if the winds start blowing in a new direction, well, we may not feel that pleased do we? As I write this article, I’m sitting on a plane, flying from San Francisco back to Vancouver
Ever heard the saying, "Man plans and God laughs"? Well sometimes this can be very true. You work on very detailed production plans, get everything organized to minute details... and then events take on a very different course. Sometimes the tendency is to get annoyed, but one should really try and roll with the punches, right? As I've
Yum yum yum. Took a trip out to my local car book/model/collectables shop Wilkensen's Automobilia to drop off some Speedhunters flyers and look what I came home with... mmm mmm mmmm.... It spoke to me. Told me that I must bring it home. This is a 1/18 scale model of the 1993 Le Mans winning Peugueot 905 as driven by Christophe Bouchut, Eric Helary
John Brooks is back in the UK from his adventures at the Le Mans 24H in France. In between getting photos prepped and delivered for his various clients he managed to quickly fire off to me a small gallery of Audi snaps from the contest. Looks like it was a pretty hard fought victory for Audi, one reliant on superior tactics and race craft rather than
