It's been too long! I miss you guys... sniff sniff. Life has been busy, lets just say that. However, I DID finally get some major progress done on the car in Jan/Feb. Back in January after I finished most of the prep on the body shell, my buddy Colin Jensan came by my shop and schooled me on the ways of MIG welding. I haven't done any welding
Pretty close to being done the cage and all the chassis prep! Took this pic last weekend. I'll post up some real pictures soon, lost my camera charger so this iPhone picture will have to do... - Carl Jarrett
My friend Derrick down in Pheonix sent this to me the other day, Tony Szirka - Evo owner, driver, and founder of UMS Tuning in Mesa AZ is no stranger to DSM tuning. And his experience and passion has culminated in this potent time attack weapon. Keep an eye out for a detailed feature from Derrick as he plans on taking a closer look in between track
My friend Derrick down in Pheonix wrote to me a couple months ago and said I had to feature this car here on SpeedHunters, and I have to admit, at first I was a bit skeptical, I'm not a huge FF fan, but I am a big fan of hardcore track biased cars, especially ones with a good personal story attached to them, and this is definitely one of those.
1.9? Why 1.9? Well I haven't got as much done as I'd like to have, but am still making progress, and am making progress in the planning stages as well. I've been busy prepping the car for a LOT of work in the coming months. Its pretty boring stuff at this stage, so don't say I didn't warn you. I spent almost 2 days crouched inside
Check out the Desktops section of SpeedHunters for a couple of my favorite shots of the car in both Widescreen and Standard format as usual. - Carl Jarrett
Its been too long since I posted that teaser, but check it out! I'm pretty stoked to be able to see a glimpse of what my project will look like when its done (next year). Here's where the nerd in me comes out, I mocked up this shot of the car in a windtunnel, not that it'll ever see one I'm sure, but a cool image regardless. There is
I had to share this car with you all, very impressive work went into this Evo VI and it was almost all done by one chap named Clive over in the good ol UK. First off, everything except for the cage, the paint, and the engine mapping was done by Clive himself, who is an Aircraft Engineer by trade, so everything you see below, was done by him in his spare
I've been working hard on the car in the garage as well as on the computer building up a visual target *that's what we call it in the games biz* for my FC build. I wanted something to be able to show people what this beast is going to look like. Enjoy the teaser! Should have the car really for IPO right around SEMA. - Carl Jarrett
Saw this rad looking Evo 8 on www.timeattackforums.com , its a 2003 with a 2.3L stroker engine and GT35 turbo. The livery is an interesting take of urban camo mixed with gloss yellow and black on the rest of the car. - Carl Jarrett
