Pretty close to being done the cage and all the chassis prep! Took this pic last weekend. I'll post up some real pictures soon, lost my camera charger so this iPhone picture will have to do... - Carl Jarrett
1.9? Why 1.9? Well I haven't got as much done as I'd like to have, but am still making progress, and am making progress in the planning stages as well. I've been busy prepping the car for a LOT of work in the coming months. Its pretty boring stuff at this stage, so don't say I didn't warn you. I spent almost 2 days crouched inside
Its been too long since I posted that teaser, but check it out! I'm pretty stoked to be able to see a glimpse of what my project will look like when its done (next year). Here's where the nerd in me comes out, I mocked up this shot of the car in a windtunnel, not that it'll ever see one I'm sure, but a cool image regardless. There is
You might remember my blog post in July finding the car to start my newest project, a road race/time attack/hill climb/who knows 1988 Mazda RX7, as promised here's the official part 1 of my EPIC (please note my pretentious and humorous tone here) RX7 race car build! Over my break from work and after my eyes healed up from laser eye surgery I finally
After checking the RE-Extreme blog I came across this picture. I have seen this same FD numerous times before on pictures when it was going through its paces on Tsukuba, even Mike has captured this car before. I never realized that it was a street legal car. That in itself makes this car even cooler than it already was. Can you imagine driving a car
Inspired by recent posts, and since Mike is building up his Miata, I'm posting on of the raddest Miata's I've seen. I've never been a huge fan of them, probably because I'm 6'4" and would look silly driving one.. but this one really tightens my screws.. I think the only thing that could make this Miata look even meaner,
I don't have much information on this car, but it's a pretty rad looking build for a tin top race car. All the front subframe is aluminum, and it all looks hand fabricated too. Anyone else have any more information on this car? - Carl Jarrett
I shot this photo of an FD RX7 blasting through the final corner at Tsukuba during one of the BE Time Attack events last winter. I really liked how this shot came out, and you can see just how timeless the design of the FD is. You can bet that GT wing is doing everything it can to keep the rear of this car planted as it rounds the high speed corner
