I've been shooting time attack events in California for a while now, and at each event I always find myself gravitating towards the cars built by Evasive Motorsports. Part of it is the fact they are usually at the top of their class, but another was their perfect resemblance to the Japanese time attack cars we love. Needless to say, when Evasive

It's been too long! I miss you guys... sniff sniff. Life has been busy, lets just say that. However, I DID finally get some major progress done on the car in Jan/Feb. Back in January after I finished most of the prep on the body shell, my buddy Colin Jensan came by my shop and schooled me on the ways of MIG welding. I haven't done any welding

If you are a follower of the Time attack series, you cannot have failed to notice the be-winged Lotus Elise of Steve Guglielmi. In amongst the myriad of Japanese machinery, the little British sports car has proved more than a match for the huge horsepower Japanese saloons. Winning by a massive 1.5 seconds at Brands Hatch and being no more than a fraction

Pretty close to being done the cage and all the chassis prep! Took this pic last weekend. I'll post up some real pictures soon, lost my camera charger so this iPhone picture will have to do... - Carl Jarrett

When I recently found out that the owner of this dedicated track S15 Silvia manages to lap Tsukuba in 55-sec I knew I had to dedicate a small post to this incredible car. Suzuki-san, the owner, had his time attack project built by Scorch Racing and Ennepetal with a goal of achieving the fastest possible amateur time around the small Ibaraki-ken circuit

After the great feedback I got from the Battle Evome coverage a few weeks back I just knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity to head to Tsukuba circuit again. This time the event was organized by Omega Oil, which holds free practice sessions at the little circuit in Ibaraki-ken throughout the year. Omega customers are invited to bring their cars

We can talk all day about numbers and sub-minute laps around Tsukuba. But actually seeing how fast a fast lap looks like from the driver's seat really puts things into perspective. This is Hiro behind the wheel of his Exceed Moat 07B S14 at Tsukuba managing a 58"540 lap and hitting a top speed of 212 km/h on the back straight. Check out the

Some of you were wondering why a lot of the cars/drivers from the Battle Evome time attack events don't participate in the yearly Tsukuba Super Lap Battle. Seeing the times a lot of these cars managed to post had me asking myself the exact same thing, the best example being Suzuki-san, owner of the Scorch S15 above who has lapped in a best time

We cover a lot of grassroots drift events here on Speedhuntres.com but what about those that prefer to grip around a track? Well don't worry because a couple of weeks ago I attended a BE-Circuit event at Tsukuba Circuit where I got to see, after quite a long time, some proper time attack action. There is nothing amateur about the cars and drivers

I cover the Irish Time Attack series for the Irish car magazine Modified Motors, so I thought I would introduce SpeedHunters readers to the drivers and cars of this very competitive championship. After a couple of sporadic efforts in previous years, Time Attack really got going in Ireland in 2008, when the Mondello Park race circuit took over the running
