A week ago or so me and some mates headed out to a private drift day at Queensland Raceway here in Australia. This day, was just one of those days, 5:30AM wakeup in winter, at the stage where you can't see 2 meters past your front door there is that much fog. The air is crisp and you're full of adrenalin for a big day! These events are held

If you're planning a trip to Japan, I highly recommend NOT going during the month of June -unless you enjoy wet weather that is. I've been here for two weeks now, and I don't think there's been a single day when it hasn't rained. With that said, here's some more rainy action from the Yellowhat Motorsports soukoukai at Nikko Circuit

What were you doing when you were 16? I, like most Americans was enjoying the newly found freedom of a driver's license, carting my buddies to and from school and driving around for no apparent reason. The last thing on my mind at that time was photography. In fact, I cringe when I look back at pictures I took during those days with whatever crappy

I was just going through some more photos from last weekend's MSC event at Nikko Circuit and realized I have some more cool stuff to post. I can't say enough how fun MSC events are to shoot. The vast number of cool-looking cars and exciting driving provides a wealth of good shooting possibilities, and even though Nikko is a small course, there

Last weekend was a busy one for drift events around the world, and with the coming of fall, many of the international series are starting wrap up their seasons. The fifth and final round of the '08 Drift Australia series was held at Oran Park Raceway last weekend, and not only was the national title up for grabs, but a pair of invitations to the

Time for more some more action from last weekend's MSC Challenge event at Nikko Circuit. There is just something about these MSC events that offer the perfect balance of talented drivers and impressive cars without the drawbacks of a "pro" drifting event. MSC events are run on smaller courses meaning there are few grandstands or other

What is your idea of the perfect first wedding anniversary? A gourmet dinner and a walk on the beach perhaps? Maybe some soft piano music and glasses of wine? What about taking a trip to see the best grassroots drift series in Japan tearing it up on one of the world's most iconic drift courses? That is just where I found myself yesterday as I somehow

Yeah, that's right, I said it. It had to be said. I wasn't the only one who noticed it... just maybe the only one who outspoken enough to say what's really on my mind. As we watched the tandem battles in the Formula D Top 16 eliminations at Infineon Raceway this past weekend, the lead car brake checking the following car seemed like the

This weekend the Aussie drifters were in action again for the fourth round of the Toyo Tires Drift Australia series at Eastern Creek Raceway. It sounds like it was quite a dramatic contest and Nathan Wong of Speed Shots Photography was at the track to bring a massive amount of event photos. Here are just a couple shots from the event- Here are the current

Yesterday it was back to Nikko Circuit for another mid-week drift meeting, this one held by Kazama Auto Service and Pit ORC. As normal for this time of year in Japan, the weather was cloudy and warm, but fortunately the rain held off for the most part. After fighting a seemingly endless fleet of slow moving trucks on the highway, I arrived at Nikko
